Followed closely by Oakley A who won 22, drew 1 and lost 1, Queens C came third winning 18, drawing 3 and losing 3. Basingstoke Hindus are worth a mention, they put out a team week after week – playing their little hearts out but have only managed 1 win all season. There are still a few matches still to be played in Division 1 but I think its safe to say Congratulations to League 1 Champions St. Peters A with a massive points advantage after playing 22 matches and winning ALL 22 of them followed by Winklebury who after 22 matches, won 17, drew 2 and lost 3, lying 3rd are Alpha, who have played 22 matches, won 14, drew 3 and lost 5 matches. KG B beat St. Peters B 6-4 with some very close games with the majority of the games going into 4 sets. Jared Binner and Richard Mole going to 5 before Jared run out of steam losing 4-11 in the fifth Basingstoke Hindus again lost 0-10 to Queens E. 10 players from Basingstoke travelled to Alencon in a minibus and enjoyed 3 nights being hosted by French families. The 10 players formed 3 teams and were rarely troubled as each team recorded comfortable team wins. The Basingstoke players were, Sean Pickin, Patrick Garlick, Louise Webb, Sue Tompsett, George White, Steve Armstrong, Sarah Whithorn, Matthew Palaczky, Terri Allison and Martin Dawson – a formidable team.
