The Mick Oakman Trophy
(Most Improved Junior)
Story of
Mick Oakman:
Mick Oakman played for the KG club.
He brought his daughter to coaching and after about a month he asked
if he could help with the coaching, but sadly he died while playing
Table Tennis at Essex Road before he was able to become a coach.
Terry White bought a shield in his memory and called it the Mick
Oakman Trophy. Although he is no longer with us he still helps coach
the Juniors in a different way.
