Message from Patrick Garlick:

This year's summer league will begin on Monday 3rd June and will last for 8 weeks, finishing on Monday 22nd July. This is earlier than usual because Aldworth Science College are refurbishing their sports hall over the school summer holidays. Also due to the other bookings, the first 5 weeks matches will be 8:30pm-10:30pm and the last 3 weeks will be 7:30-9:30pm.

Just from speaking to people it is expected that this year's competition will be bigger than previous years with somewhere between 16-20 teams expected. The standard at the top also sounds like it will be improving with a few high division 1 players expressing an interest. It is also hoped there will be a fair few junior teams towards the bottom so overall it is expected this summer league season will be more competitive than ever.

If you are in need of a partner for all or some of the season, let me know and I will pair you up with somebody appropriate. Likewise, if you can only make odd weeks and would like to be a sub then I will find you some matches.

Please spread the word as the more teams we get registering, the more enjoyable the summer league will be. New players and beginners are also welcome!

Registration forms and the £10 team fee must be with me by 25th May 2013 so you have a month to get organised. Again, to make things easier and more flexible there is no player registration fee so just £4 per player per night for match fees.
